Thames Valley Police is releasing CCTV images of two men who might have vital information about a theft from motor vehicle in High Wycombe.

On Wednesday 27 April 2016 at about 5.15pm the victim, an 86-year-old woman, withdrew money from a cash machine outside Morrisons on Bellfield Road.

The woman then entered the store, completed her shopping and returned to her vehicle. Whilst the woman was unloading her shopping into the car a man approached her and started speaking in a foreign language. During this time a second man reached into her vehicle’s boot and took her purse.

Her bank card was used to withdraw money at a cash machine moments later.

Investigating officer Sandra Faux, Case Investigator based at High Wycombe police station, said: “I am appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed this theft from an elderly woman or who can identify the people in these CCTV images, as we believe they might have vital information about the incident that can aid our investigation.

“If you have any information about the incident please call the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.

“If you do not want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers (opens new window) anonymously on 0800 555 111. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.”
