Appeal following collision involving a child in Warrington

Roads policing officers are appealing for information following a collision in Warrington town centre.

The collision, between a red bus and child, occurred at approximately 11.55am on Tuesday 17th May at a bus stop outside the Looking Glass Public House, on Scotland Road, Warrington.

Following the collision the 3-year-old boy was taken to Warrington General Hospital where he is currently receiving treatment for a suspected broken leg.

Investigating Officer PC Robin Fisher said: “Scotland Road is a busy road in the centre of Warrington and as part of my investigation I am keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and believes that they may have any information in relation to the incident.

“I am particularly keen to speak to a woman who was seen near to the bus at the time of the incident and is believed to have witnessed the collision.”
