Witness appeal for fatal collision – Wokingham

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Wokingham.

The incident occurred on Bank Holiday Monday May 2 at about 10.25am on the A329 Reading Road at the junction with Station Road.

A collision took place between a black Mercedes A180 and a blue Vauxhall Corsa.

As a result of the collision, a 74-year-old woman from Wokingham was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford with serious injuries.


Sadly, she died at the hospital as a result of her injuries on Monday (16/5).

Investigating officer PC Joy Jarvis, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “If you have any information about the incident please call the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101 quoting URN 347/25.

“If you do not want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.”
