Appeal for information after a fatal collision – Reading

Thames Valley Police is appealing for information following a fatal road traffic collision in Reading.

At approximately 1.40pm on Saturday (28/5) there was a collision on Headley Road, Woodley involving a grey Toyota Corolla and a grey BMW 318.

Police attended along with the ambulance and fire service.

Sadly, the driver of the Toyota, an 82 year-old man from Woodley died at hospital following the collision.

His next of kin have been informed.

The road was closed while emergency services attended the incident and has now reopened.

Investigating officer PC Gareth Miles, of Roads Policing based at Three Mile Cross police station said: “I would appeal to anyone who saw the collision to contact me via the Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.

“If you don’t want to speak directly to police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.”
