Thames Valley Police is appealing for information after a collision in Milton Keynes on Sunday 5 June.
At around 4.45pm, an 11-year-old girl was riding a bicycle in Cleaver’s Avenue, Conniburrow, close to the junction of Marlow Gate when she was involved in a collision with a car.
The driver of the car stopped to check the girl was ok before leaving the scene without providing his details.
The car is a blue or black car, similar to a Vauxhall Zafira.
The victim sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. She was discharged the same day.
Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who can help police to identify the vehicle involved.
Investigating officer, PC Ian Stevens from Roads Policing said: “The driver of the car stopped to check that the girl involved was ok, but didn’t leave his details. If you are the driver of the car, or you can help identify the driver, please contact me as soon as possible. Fortunately, the victim was not seriously injured, but it is very important that we speak to the driver of the car involved.”
Anyone with information should contact PC Stevens via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry line, 101, quoting URN 1040 05/06.
If you do not want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers (opens new window) anonymously on 0800 555 111. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
