Appeal to motorists follows fatal A6002 crash
Police officers investigating a fatal car crash which happened on the outskirts of Nottingham on Friday (17 June) are appealing for the owners of two vehicles to come forward.
A 21-year-old man died as a result of a collision involving the Peugeot car he was travelling in and a Subaru car on the A6002 Low Wood Road, close to the A610 Nuthall Island at around 7.30pm.
The female driver of the Peugeot and the male driver of the Subaru are being treated in hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The road was closed for more than seven hours following the crash. No arrests have been made.
Investigators want to trace the occupants of two vehicles who may have vital information about the crash.
One is a believed to be a silver Vauxhall Zafira which stopped at the scene immediately after the crash. The other is a dark coloured Renault Megane, whose driver may also have important details about the incident.
It is imperative that the drivers of these vehicles make contact with the police in order to provide this essential assistance.
