Did you witness a serious collision in Fetcham last night?

Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses following a serious single vehicle collision in Fetcham.

The incident took place at 7.15pm on Thursday, 16 June when a blue Alfa Romeo travelling on the Guildford Road left the carriageway and collided with a road sign.

The driver, a man believed to be in his eighties, suffered serious head and leg injuries and was taken by ambulance to St George’s Hospital in Tooting.

Following the incident Surrey Police officers closed the road at the junctions with The Ridgeway and Cobham Road for several hours while collision investigators examined the scene. The road has fully reopened since.
