Driver Appeal After Woman Injured, Leeds
Police are appealing for a driver involved in road traffic collision in Leeds to contact them.
At about 11pm on Saturday, August 27, a 47-year-old woman was walking down Cardigan Road towards Kirkstall Road. As she crossed Alexandra Road, just prior to the BP garage on Cardigan Road, she was involved in a collision with a small red or white vehicle and was knocked to the ground.
She received soft tissue damage and bruising to her side and back.
PC Sarah Miller, of the Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support Team (East) said: “It is believed the driver stopped at the time to help the woman. She does not speak any English and he failed to leave his details. The woman made her way home and an ambulance attended and took her to hospital for treatment.
“We would like to speak to the driver about the circumstances and would ask them or anyone who can assist in identifying them to contact us. We would also like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or the circumstances leading up to it.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC6619 Miller at Carr Gate via 101 quoting log number 61 of August 28.
