Appeal after dog allegedly thrown from car on A38

Police have attended the services near Kennford, Exeter at around 2pm today after initial reports of a dog being thrown from a vehicle on the A38.

A black King Charles Spaniel was found injured in the area with suspected broken legs and has been since taken to the vets for treatment.

At this time, police only have third hand reports of how the dog came to be on the road and how it sustained its injuries.
