Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision between a fuel tanker and a recovery vehicle on the A30 near Camborne yesterday [15 December].
Emergency services were called at 8.35am after the collision between the HGV plus tanker and the small white recovery vehicle on the eastbound carriageway at Treswithian junction.
Substantial damage was caused to the vehicles and around 30 metres of the central reservation was destroyed.
The drivers sustained minor injuries and the HGV driver was taken to hospital as a precaution.
The road was closed in both directions for a short time and the eastbound carriageway remained shut until around 2.15pm.
Police are investigating the incident and appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them.
They are particularly keen to speak to the driver of a small blue convertible vehicle which was seen in the immediate vicinity of the collision. The driver may hold vital information to assist police with their enquiries.
