Falls a band of microtrafficking of drugs in Colombia used a minor for distribution

The colombian authorities have broken up a band of microtrafficking in Soacha, a town near the colombian capital, Bogotá, called ‘Cuba’, which used to be a minor for the distribution of the drug in parks and sports areas.

At least eleven members of the band have been detained, among them the two leaders known as ‘Paola’ and ‘Harold’, 24 and 26 years, who used to family and children to camouflage the drug in public spaces.


“So same as withholding the dose of marijuana in elements such as carts of the newborn of the family to bring them to the places of trade among other forms of distribution in which the use of minors, was the main mode of action of these criminals to evade the authorities,” said the Police in Soacha, as has collected the newspaper ‘The Spectator’.

In the police operation, which has lasted for eight months, have been seized to 5,200 doses of drugs, mobile phones and a motorcycle with which he allegedly distributed the drug. In addition we have carried out 10 raids in which they have been arrested eleven members of the band.

“The capture took place after eight months of research with what you gave catch to the organisers of this band,” said the colonel Edwin Chavarro, commander of the Police Department of Cundinamarca. The detainees will go on trial for trafficking and manufacture of drugs, in addition to the use of minors to commit crimes.

On leading of the year, 2.333 people have been arrested in Soacha for offences related to the trafficking of drugs and have dismantled at least ten criminal gangs, according to ‘The Spectator’.
