Police are re-appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist on a red and silver Kawasaki crashed into the central reservation on the M5 motorway on Thursday 14 July.
Peter Smith, aged 57 from Wolverhampton, was seriously injured in the collision on the northbound carriageway between junctions 3 and 2 at around 3.40pm.
The motorway was closed for several hours while emergency services were called and Mr Smith (pictured with his granddaughter) was taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition with multiple fractures.
